Help for Tony's Travel Journal
This is where help for figuring out how the journal works will go.
These are the diferent kinds of Indexes available. Each is a different
overview of my travel journals. Note: Only one view can be seen at
a time.
Possible Index views
- By Date: Entries are listed by date and end location.
Entries are displayed in groups of 30.
(Default)
- By Stops: Very similar to By Date, except any
logged stops are also shown. Entries are displayed in groups of 15.
- By Country: Numbered list of all the countries I've visted.
Sorted in the order the countries were visited the first time.
Clicking on a countries name brings up a list of dates I was in that
country. Includes Regions, National Parks, Beers, and a link to the
photos I took in that country.
- By Photo: The Photos! In the order they were taken,
regardless of what roll or which camera was used. Includes a link to the
date each picture was taken, and the Subject and Location of the picture.
Photos are displayed in groups of 20.
- By Photo (Text): Lists ALL the pictures I've taken.
Images are not included in this view, rather links to the date, thumbnail,
and blow up (if available) are given. Note this page is very big, and very
slow as the entire journal must be scanned (Currently nearly 4000 photos).
- By Film: This lists the individual rolls that I've taken.
Clicking on the Roll ID will display the thumbnails and details
for each frame on the roll. This view is best for seeing new photos
(Interesting because photo's are added in batches - often months after
the respective journal entry). The Developed date is the date the
images were dropped on my site.
Sorting: (Note: Sorting order only
effects the By Date, By Stops, or By Film views,
all the other views are Chronological)
- Forwards: Entries are listed Oldest to Newest.
- Backwards: Entries are listed Newest to Oldest.

Select text to search for in the journal.
It's a very primative search tool, keep the following in mind:
- * It is Case Sensative.
- * All fields are searched, even ones you may not have selected to view in the Day View.
- * The entire search string must be found in the text for a match (no ANDs or ORs)
