Right after crossing into Georgia I decided another dip and maybe a picnic at the beach was in order so I left the interstate to head to the Cumberland National Seashore. Unfortunately (or fortunately considering how burned my back is now) the National Seashore is not a beach, it is however, a beautiful view of water, land, and sea grass so I still had my picnic, and read for awhile in the (much needed) shade of a gazebo. Now I'm confined to my tent because of the pesky yellow flies (which definitely bite). There are zillions of them and they don't seem to care (or notice for that matter) that I've practically bathed myself in 100 percent deet.
