I got to row!! I made it down to the boathouse (a huge underground complex of boat storage, sitting rooms, cafe, bar, lockers, etc. under the Uffizi museum. I took out an old wooden shell, much like a wherry only not quite so bulky. Had a great row, despite the gusty wind. Got to row under all the famous bridges and it had just been too long since I've been on the water.

Caught a train to Pisa, rushed to see the infamous tower since I wanted to be on another train in an hour. Successfully made it tto the tower and back to the train. Two more trains and we were at Riomaggiore. A short, funky, old lady convinved me to stay at Moma Rosa's Hostel.
