Spent the morning walking around Bern. It was cold and grey, felt like snow might be on the way. Between the weather and the memory of last nights druggies I didn't think that much of Bern.

Caught an afternoon train out of Bern. Got to Paris just before ten. Figured out the Metro to get to a hostel in the 12th quarter. The hostel was full, but they refered me to a hotel just around the corner. The hotel was only US$1 more than the hostel, yet I got my own room with a queen size bed, table and chairs, sink, bidet, and privacy!
