Journal Entry:
Today was a chore day. I did laundry (had to walk with my clothes from the middle of the old town to the middle of the new town). While I was there I had lunch (Pizza Hut - but kosher, so no meat toppings), and am here checking my email. I was going to go to the Egyption embassy and get my visa, but then I realized that would be very stupid having gone to so much trouble to keep Israel out of my passport.

Late afternoon I started to feel like I was coming down with a cold. Put myself to bed early and spent the night shivering in a cold sweat.
