We were on the dive boat before eight. The first dive was at "Long Lava Tube" - a pretty neat dive that included swimming through a pretty long lava tube (150+ feet long) where we saw a couple varieties of lobsters and a couple different nudibranchs. Other highlights were the very nice coral, and a lot of different reef fish. The second dive was at "Spiral Lava Tube" - another shorter lava tube. The highlight of the dive was a Spanish Dancer (the largest nudibranch in the world - this one was about a foot long). It was the first one I've seen that actually danced (swam). After the dives we talked to one of the guides about a trip that their leading in 2004 to the Galapagos - I really want to go.

The rest of the day was spent going to a Macadamia Nut center to learn about macadamia nuts, but it was really just a shop - which didn't stop us from buying some. We also hit the Kona Coffee Cooperative and tried to go to the painted church - but there were services going on.
